2013 Leadership College Nomination Period Ends Today

Today, August 10, 2012, is the last day to submit nominations for the 2013 NCMS Leadership College. The College enhances physicians’ core aptitudes to excel as leaders within organized medicine, hospitals, health care systems, medical staffs, group practices, and in the public policy arena. If you are interested in improving your leadership skills, apply for Leadership College today. A limited number of nominees are selected to participate. Nomination forms should be completed by the nominee and the nominating organization.

One of the most distinctive qualities of the Leadership College is that the courses are designed and often taught by physicians. Five interactive training sessions are held over the year-long course that focuses on topics such as leadership styles and competencies; delegation and teamwork; conflict resolution; media relations and spokesperson training; communication and advocacy strategies; negotiation skills for medical professionals; management fundamentals of non-profit organizations; and legislative policy and advocacy.

Nomination forms can be found here. Questions can be directed to Pam Highsmith, Director of Development, at [email protected] or 919-833-3836.
