To assist physicians meet and understand the challenges associated with managed care contracting, the American Medical Association (AMA), through their Practice Management Center, launched an online community entitled the “Cutting-Edge Contracting Group.” The goal of the group is to help physicians during a time when health care payments and delivery systems are constantly changing. Physicians, practice staff, and consultants can participate. Registration is required. Through the group, participants can ask questions, share tips, and access resources about managed care.

AMA offers a managed care contracting webinar series to help physicians and their practices understand new provisions that managed care organizations are adding to physician contracts as new payment models are implemented. The webinar will be held at 1:00 pm on the fourth Tuesday of every month, through March 2013.Webinar recordings also will be archived. Click here to register.
