AMA Recognizes NCMS Involvement in Delaying CMS Place-of-Service Coding Requirements

The American Medical Association (AMA) recently recognized the NCMS for its involvement in requesting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) delay obscure place-of-service coding requirements, set to take effect April 1, in an email alert sent to AMA members. The efforts of the AMA, the NCMS and other state and specialty medical societies, convinced CMS to delay the coding implementation until October 2012.
