Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) announced Monday that it would refund $155.8 million to 215,000 policy holders because of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. BCBSNC CEO Brad Wilson said the refunds would be issued by the end of the year to customers who had individual Blue Advantage or Blue Options HSA policies on March 23, 2010, when President Obama signed the health system reform bill into law. Read more in this report posted by WRAL-TV Raleigh.
