Next week’s vote follows a strategic campaign that sent NCMS Staff across the state to meet with physicians. Town Hall meetings were held this week in Charlotte, Hickory, Fayetteville, New Bern and Rockingham. NCMS staff briefed physicians on the override process and the urgent need to contact their lawmakers. More than 1,000 physicians participated in the Town Hall meetings, Tele-Town Hall Meetings, and individual meetings with legislators.
When contacting your legislator, be brief and include how they can contact you. Legislative office numbers and addresses can be found at www.ncleg.net. Click the “Who Represents Me” tab using the 9-digit Zip Code on your NC driver’s license.
A very close vote is expected when the veto override is taken up by the House. Make the call, send the E-Mail, and help to make a difference!
“Don’t let 200 personal injury attorneys dictate how medicine is practiced in this state,” says Robert Seligson, Executive Vice President and CEO. “Pick up the phone today!”
