Senate Overrides Medical Liability Reform Veto; House Vote Set for July 25–Let Your Legislator Know You Support Override of SB 33 Veto
The NC Senate voted swiftly to override the veto of Senate Bill 33 – Medical Liability Reforms on Monday, July 11. Now, the deliberation continues to the NC House of Representatives, which has scheduled votes to override the Governor’s veto of several bills, including SB 33, on Monday, July 25.

Bipartisan Vote in Senate Begins the Override Process on Med Mal Reform
Today the NC Senate took the first step in overriding the Governor’s veto of medical liability reform legislation, Senate Bill 33. To complete the process, the House will need to vote by 3/5 majority to override the veto. That vote is expected to occur during the last full week of this month.
