Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates, PA (CEENTA) was recently awarded a Practice Wellness grant in the amount of $15,000 from the NCMS Employee Benefit Plan for encouraging wellness and good health within its practice. CEENTA was the first NCMS Plan participant to receive the grant, which allowed the practice to improve their wellness program and continue to provide wellness initiatives to its employees. CEENTA qualified for the grant by creating a healthy practice environment and striving to improve the health and wellness of its physicians and staff. 75 percent of its enrolled employees completed a health assessment and 50 percent of its employees attended a 30-minute educational seminar in preparation for moving toward a healthier lifestyle. In July, CEENTA also made all of its locations tobacco-free.
