On Wednesday, CMS released a statement clarifying the deadlines for registering with Medicare’s Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS).  As the NCMS reported in the Bulletin last Friday,  CMS will not be rejecting claims made by providers who have not completed the application process by July 6, 2010. CMS says it is working with ordering and referring providers and suppliers to streamline the PECOS enrollment process.
