CMS EHR Website Offers Attestation Worksheets for Meaningful Use

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has developed attestation worksheets to help physicians and other providers in meeting meaningful use through the CMS web-based attestation system. CMS says the worksheets will allow eligible professionals, hospitals and critical access hospitals to log additional data for core and menu measures that might not be obtained only through their certified electronic health record (EHR) system. In order to provide complete and accurate information, CMS says providers may have to include information from paper-based patient records or from other areas, but that clinical quality measures must be reported directly from certified EHR technology. The worksheets can be done electronically or manually and kept on hand during the attestation process. Click here to access the attestation worksheet for physicians and other eligible professionals.
