As created by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) this week established the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation. The Center will study ways of delivering care and paying providers, seeking to save money for the Medicare and Medicaid programs and to improve quality. According to CMS, the center will involve health care stakeholders nationwide, with a goal of creating partnerships receiving feedback on the Center’s operations.
