CMS Launches New Medicare Learning Network

In a constantly changing health care landscape it can be difficult for Medicare fee-for-service providers to know where to turn for quick resources and answers to their Medicare-related questions. To assist health care professionals in the quest for information, CMS has launched the Medicare Learning Network (MLN), a one stop source for Medicare education and information. According to CMS, The MLN gives you access to the Medicare Program information you need, when you need it, so you can focus more on providing care to your patients.”

The MLN offers:

  1. Educational Products, including MLN Matters® Articles;
  2. National Provider Call Program;
  3. Provider Partnership Program;
  4. CMS MLN e-News;
  5. Provider electronic mailing lists; and
  6. Provider Exhibit Program.

CMS relies on its Medicare Claims Administration Contractors to assist in delivering education and information to Medicare Fee-For-Service providers. These contractors maintain toll-free telephone lines for inquiries, provide self-service options, such as websites and portals, and conduct outreach and education, including interactions with individual providers, group practices, and local professional associations.

If you have questions about the Medicare Program, contact North Carolina’s Medicare contractor. To find contact information for these contractors, please use this Provider Compliance Interactive Map.
