“Critical Condition” Series on Medicaid Offers Comprehensive Overview of NC Challenges

The Raleigh News & Observer published a two-part series Critical Condition: The Trouble with Medicaid   over the July 4th weekend, offering a comprehensive look at the challenges facing the program and the various proposals to fix the system. The North Carolina Medical Society has been working diligently over the past year and a half with legislators, the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the governor to craft a reform plan that places doctors and their patients at the center.

The debate at the General Assembly is continuing over the best path for reform. Watch your email for NCMS Action Alerts to help legislators understand which reform model you favor.
