Don’t Miss the 2012 Annual Meeting – Only Two More Weeks Before the Big Event

2012-mtg-savethedate-graphicThere are big changes in store for this year’s NCMS Annual Meeting, which will be held the weekend of October 26-27, 2012 at the Raleigh Marriott City Center in downtown Raleigh. The theme of the meeting is “Leadership in Medicine: Emerging Issues in Healthcare.

Annual Meeting modifications include shortening the meeting to take place over two days instead of three, holding a brief House of Delegates (HOD) meeting on Friday to condense business, abbreviating policy decision-making on Saturday, and conducting HOD business and debate online prior to the meeting.

There also will be two new sessions that will focus on the many issues impacting physicians today. One session will examine and discuss how to conquer prescription drug abuse, which is becoming increasingly more dangerous. Another session will focus on value-driven healthcare and how it will influence the future of medicine.

Don’t miss the NCMS Political Action Committee (PAC) Luncheon on Saturday, October 27. Legislative updates are important more than ever during this election year.

There also are several events taking place in the Triangle area the weekend of the Annual Meeting along with all the regular activities that Raleigh offers.

More information regarding the 2012 NCMS Annual Meeting is available online.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s meeting and hope you enjoy the changes that are in store.
