NC DHHS Secretary Lanier Cansler announced July 22 the appointment of Drexdal Pratt as the new director of the Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) effective August 1, 2010. Pratt served as chief of the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) for nearly 12 years and has served as a consultant to the NCMS.  Last year, the Medical Society presented Pratt with the John Huske Anderson Award, recognizing his work in emergency medical services on behalf of the people of North Carolina.
