The Board of Directors of the Durham-Orange County Medical Society (DOCMS) hosted a dinner on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, to honor their past presidents and recognize their contributions to the Medical Society.  Thirteen past presidents, who served terms ranging from 1983 to 2009, were in attendance.

The event was held in conjunction with the November Board of Directors meeting and after a brief business meeting Anthony Caprio, MD, 2010 DOCMS President-Elect, facilitated an open forum with the past leaders in attendance.  The group discussed the past events and successes of the DOCMS and strategized about the most important issues and opportunities for the society to address.  They also discussed ways to make the society more relevant and accessible in an ever-changing environment, while attracting and engaging members.
