Free Hotline To Help Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors

Answers to questions about medical or psychological issues facing adolescent-young adult survivors of cancer will soon be as close as a telephone or email. Starting August 16, 2011, the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivor Hotline will be available to:

  • A cancer survivor, 16-39 years old, diagnosed at or before age 21;
  • A family member or friend ( 18 or older) of a cancer survivor, 16-39 years old; or
  • Health care provider.

Funded by a grant from The Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, the Hotline is a joint effort involving the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Clinics at UNC-Chapel Hill, UNC-Asheville and Wake Forest University.

To access the Hotline:

  • Page at 800-604-8215, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday, and leave a number. A provider from one of the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Clinics will call you back within 30 minutes!
  • Email at [email protected] and leave an email address. Someone will be back to you within 24 hours during week days.
