Health System Reform Signed Into Law, Reconciliation Bill On President’s Desk

Last night the U.S. House of Representatives gave final passage to  H.R. 4872 (PDF – 2,310 pages), a reconciliation bill that modifies the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 signed into law by President Obama earlier this week.  The reconciliation bill will now go to President Obama’s desk to be signed into law as early as today.

The NCMS worked diligently to educate our Congressional delegation about health care delivery and how this law will impact the needs of our patients.  The NCMS Board of Directors met and sent a letter to our U.S. House Members, going on record to oppose the legislation.
