Input Needed to CSRS Proposed Changes

North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) President Dev Sangvai, MD, is convening a task force to provide some direction on upgrades to the NC Controlled Substance Reporting System (CSRS). Chaired by NCMS members Larry Greenblatt, MD and Palmer Edwards, MD, the group is charged with discussing implementation of new legislation allowing prescribers to choose one or more delegates who can access the CSRS and print reports of controlled substances obtained by the prescriber’s patient.

A one-hour conference call will be initiated to discuss how the delegate system might be implemented in a manner that encourages utilization of the CSRS, but also takes steps to ensure that the information is used properly. If you would like to participate in this discussion, please contact Shawn Scott at the NCMS to indicate your interest and to be provided with conference call details.
