Leadership College Meets at NCMS for 2012 Winter Session

On Saturday, January 28, 2012, the NCMS Leadership College Class of 2012 met at the North Carolina Medical Society for their Winter Session.

The Winter Session is an interactive, one-day workshop to introduce Scholars to the principles and philosophies of leadership in healthcare.  Presenters included Leadership College Co-Chair Michael Brennan, MD; Susan Mims, MD, MPH, Class of 2007; NCMS Director of Government Affairs Chip Baggett; Louise Winstanly, LLB, MSB and Sam Cykert, MD.

The session gave Leadership Scholars the opportunity to get to know one another, practice communication skills, understand the physician’s role in advocacy, and learn more about emerging clinical practices such as Meaningful Use, Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Accountable Care Organizations (ACO).  CLICK HERE to view the Winter Session media page, with links to presentations, videos and photos.
