Tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 11, from noon to 1 p.m., UnitedHealthcare will host a webinar to learn more about their Compass for Individual Exchanges, Core and Navigate benefit plans being offered in North Carolina starting Jan. 1, 2015. The webinar will include eligibility and benefits details, how to verify participation status, referral process information, protocol requirements and the three month grace period for UnitedHealthcare Compass, Individual Public Exchange Benefit Plans. “You’ve Been Served! Now What Should You Do?” Wednesday, Dec. 17, noon – 1 pm, a Lunch and Learn webinar sponsored jointly by the NC Medical Group Managers and the North Carolina Medical Society Foundation, will feature Jason Newton, senior vice president and associate general counsel at Medical Mutual, who will speak on what to do after receiving a subpoena and how to navigate various types of subpoenas and lawsuits. Final NCTracks Provider Training Course Thursday, Dec. 18 from 9-11 a.m. on Recipient Eligibility Inquiry. The course is being offered in-person at the CSC facility in Raleigh and includes hands-on training. Space is limited to 45 participants.Register in SkillPort, the NCTracks Learning Management System. Logon to the secure NCTracks Provider Portal and click Provider Training to access SkillPort. Open the folder labeled Provider Computer-Based Training (CBT) and Instructor Led Training (ILT). The course can be found in the sub-folder labeled ILTs: On-site, based on the topic of the course.  Refer to the Provider Training page of the public Provider Portal for specific instructions on how to use SkillPort.  The Provider Training page also includes a quick reference regarding Java, which is required for the use of SkillPort.


CCNC Project Lazarus Training, A Guide to Rational Opioid Prescribing for Chronic Pain will assist prescribers of pain medications to understand and treat chronic pain and safer opioid prescribing.
