NC Health Information Exchange (NC HIE) Webinar, offered by the NCMS Foundation and NC Medical Group Managers (NCMGM), will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, 12:00 – 1:00 pm. The webinar will share the goals and strategies of the NC HIE and discuss how a statewide HIE can facilitate critical access, exchange and analysis of information, enable medical decision making with better coordination of care and improved health outcomes as well as control health care costs. North Carolina Alliance for Healthy Communities (NCAHC) Conference, which addresses medication adherence, will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011, 8:30 am – 1:30 pm, at the Embassy Suites, Cary. The conference will focus on local and national campaigns, new data regarding patients’ barriers when taking medication, and integrating multiple approaches to addressing medication taking behaviors.
