The North Carolina Medical Group Managers (NCMGM) will hold its 2012 Fall Conference Wednesday – Friday, September 12-14, 2012 at the Grove Park Inn, Asheville. The conference theme is “Facing Tomorrow’s Challenges Today,” and will focus on health care reform, the future of health care, changes in health care technology, EMR implementation, and ICD-10. By joining the NCMGM at the conference, practice managers are eligible to receive up to 9.75 ACMPE continuing education credits. Speakers include:

• Scott Wallace, health care management expert, will inform participants about strategy and innovation in improving the value of medical care. Will Latham, health care management consultant, will coach practice managers in creating partnerships within their practice to reduce internal conflict in the workplace. Cornerstone Health Care’s Grace Terrell, MD, also will provide an overview and updates about accountable care.
