Medical Home Recognition Update (Western North Carolina)

The NCQA is coming to Asheville April 7-8 to present How To Facilitate Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition: A Hands-on Approach and Analysis Through NCQA’s Eyes.  The workshop, which will include the new 2011 standards for PCMH recognition, will be the second time the course is offered nationally and the first offered in North Carolina.  The registration fee of $895 will be reduced to $750 for two or more registering from the same organization, and MAHEC recognizes BCMS members as eligible for the reduced fee. To register or for more information, see

It is not too late to register for Health Reform and Quality Assessment, which also features NCQA faculty, March 17-18.  This two-day event will focus on the national and state landscape regarding health reform and QI.  The conference was originally scheduled December 15-16 but was postponed due to weather.  Additional registrations are now being accepted. See for details.  Discounted registration fees apply to BCMS members.
