Medical School Dean First to Volunteer for 2011 Doctors on Call; You Can Volunteer, Too

The Dean of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, Paul R.G. Cunningham, MD, is the first physician to volunteer for the annual WITN-TV Doctors on Call. It will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm, at the WITN-TV studio in Greenville.

Doctors on Call promotes access by allowing viewers to talk with a physician at no charge.  WITN has hosted the community outreach program for more than twenty years, in association with the Pitt County and North Carolina Medical Societies. Nearly 40 physicians answered questions from about 600 viewers during the 2010 Doctors on Call.

You can volunteer for Doctors on Call online, or by contacting Lyric Wohlgemuth (NCMS) at 800-722-1350 or [email protected], or Karen Bean (Pitt County Medical Society) at 252-758-8833 or [email protected].
