Physicians who care for Medicare patients often face challenges in accurately prescribing and paying for Power Mobility Devices or scooters for their patients. Several Durable Medical Equipment contractors and a Medicare contract administrator have developed a video education program for physicians who prescribe scooters.  The video helps physicians understand their obligations under the Medicare program to clearly document the medical necessity for scooters.
