H415 – Collateral Source Evidence Admissible – Rapp (D-Madison), England (D-Rutherford), Goforth (D-Buncombe) – was pulled from the House Health Committee calendar at the last minute on Tuesday.  It will likely be re-calendared in the next two weeks.  NCMS would like to thank the hundreds of physician and physician-assistant members that made calls and wrote emails to their legislators at the beginning of this week.  The many contacts made by physicians are helpful in establishing the need for these changes and for generating discussion among legislators about the unfairness of the current collateral source evidence rule. We will keep you posted on the bill’s progress and give you as much notice as possible before the next hearing of the bill.
