The North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians Winter Meeting began yesterday and will continue through Sunday in Asheville. Maggie Sauer and Franklin Walker, from The North Carolina Medical Society Foundation, will conduct two informative workshops at the meeting.  An introduction to Practice Management (PM101) was presented on Thursday for Community Practitioner Program participants and featured such topics as: Financial Management Overview, Revenue Cycle Management, Improving Cash Flow, Managed Care Contracting, Lean Healthcare, Quality Initiatives, and Electronic Health Records.  A Saturday workshop, “Business Plans Matter for Medical Practices,”  will focus on the importance of implementing business plans in every practice, no matter the size.  For more information on these, and other informative workshops, click here.
