NC DHHS Push Providers to Get On Board for NCTracks

The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) has been instrumental in informing our members over the past months of the steps they need to take to transition to the NC Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) new NCTracks system for Medicaid claims processing. Now, NC DHHS, faced with the looming July 1 deadline, is pulling out all the stops to get doctors on board.

NC DHHS Secretary Aldona Wos recently mailed a letter to NC DHHS providers about NCTracks, which included comments from the Secretary as well as a reminder of actions that need to be taken prior to July 1.  The letter also included the Authorization Code for the Currently Enrolled Provider (CEP) Registration process, in case providers did not receive or misplaced the previous CEP letter.  A copy of the Secretary’s letter may be read here.

DHHS also has added additional training sessions in Greenville for the coming week of June 3-7.

Like other locations, Instructor-Led Training sessions in the Greenville Convention Center, 303 SW Greenville Blvd., are divided by provider claim type. Providers who submit Institutional (UB04/837I) and Medical (CMS1500/837P) claims are scheduled Monday-Wednesday, June 3-5, while Dental and Pharmacy providers are set for Thursday and Friday, June 6-7. Registration for Tuesday is near capacity, so to meet demand, Tuesday’s sessions will be repeated Wednesday. (The material intended to be presented Wednesday will be covered in both days’ sessions.)  The training topics on Wednesday will include Prior Approval, Patient Eligibility and Claims.

To register for the new Wednesday training sessions, click here then click on the link for “NCTracks Training”. Step-by-step instructions for “How to Register for Training” are available below the “NCTracks Training” link. n NCID is required to register for training. Obtain an NCID here

If you do not have time to register, walk-ins are welcome. If you have any questions regarding NCTracks training, please contact the CSC EVC Call Center at 866.844.1113 or by email at [email protected].
