The North Carolina Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHRs) Incentive Program provides the opportunity for eligible professionals (EPs) to receive up to $63,750 in incentive payments over six years for participating in the program.  The payment in Year One is $21,250 and requires EPs to adopt, implement or upgrade to a certified EHR technology. Subsequent years address meaningful use standards and participants receive payments of $8,500 per year for up to five years.
