Susan K. Burden, MD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wake Forest University Eye Center, has been named to the 2012 class of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Leadership Development Program. Dr. Burden was nominated by the North Carolina Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and was among a select group of nineteen participants that were chosen from across the US and from Thailand. She and her fellow participants were recognized at the AAO’s recent 2011 Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. The year-long program will conclude at the AAO’s 2012 Annual Meeting in Chicago.
