Over the past few months, the NCMS has featured several practices that have received assistance from Terri Gonzalez, NCMS Director of Practice Improvement, with practice management needs, including but not limited to Meaningful Use implementation and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition. Terri recently helped Urology Associates of Southeastern North Carolina, PA, in meeting Stage 1 of Meaningful Use.

Sue Pasquarell, administrator for Urology Associates of SENC, PA, stated the following about the services Terri provided:

“I could write a book on how much I appreciate Terri Gonzalez!  After the resignation of the person who was instrumental in getting Meaningful Use Stage 1 up and running in my office, I became concerned that we would not meet the requirements. We were just 30 days from completing all the reports and we were moving toward attestation. With so little time, I called Terri and set up an appointment for her to look at my reports. She discovered three out of the five physicians in our practice were ready to attest to Meaningful Use. Terri took an incredible amount of time to help me with all the paperwork needed to attest for Meaningful Use. She displayed nothing but patience and direction in the process. By helping attest one of our physicians, I was able to do the rest with Terri graciously offering to be there for me should I need her. We are grateful to the NCMS for providing the knowledge and professionalism during what could have been a very trying time for our practice!”
