In December 2009, the NCMS filed a compliance dispute against Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) under the Thomas/Love Settlement Agreement. The dispute alleged that a provider contract addendum issued by BCBSNC last October violated certain provisions of the Settlement Agreement. A new addendum has been developed with the input of the NCMS, the NC Medical Group Managers, the NC Society of Anesthesiologists, and the NC Hospital Association. The new addendum will be sent to BCBSNC participating providers in the near future. Given that the new addendum is more acceptable for physicians and groups, that BCBSNC has agreed to waive its rights under the October addendum, and that BCBSNC will revoke the October addendum once the new addendum is received by network providers, the NCMS has dismissed the compliance dispute.

Thanks for the clarification. This makes absolutely no sense, provides not a clue what you are talking about, and gives physicians absolutely no idea what in the name of God impact this has for us. What addendum, what provisions, which of our rights have you waived and what has been revoked?
