The North Carolina Medical Society Foundation is sponsoring a one-day workshop, “Using Lean to Implement EHR,” presented by International Lean Healthcare Facilitator Sean Lewis, on May 6, 2011 from 9:00 am-3:30 pm. The day will be broken into three main topics:  Understanding the Lean Thinking Approach to Process Improvement, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Swim Lane Innovation Methodology.

Presenter Sean Lewis, BSME, MSME, has worked with medical practices, hospitals, clinics, labs, pharmacies, ORs and surgery centers and trained hundreds of health care professionals in Lean in the US and in Australia.
