NCMS PAC: The Closing Weeks

ncmspac-logoOver the last two years, your NCMS Political Action Committee (PAC) has been fundraising with one goal in mind – to support candidates that understand the values and concerns of the medical community. With this goal in mind, many of you have generously contributed your resources, both physically and financially. Thank you for supporting your colleagues and your profession.

As always, our PAC supports candidates on a bipartisan basis. We understand that Medicaid, scope of practice, and liability reform are not partisan issues, but they are matters affecting your ability to care for your patients. Ultimately, your ability to deliver optimal patient care is most important. For that reason, we support candidates who are working in the best interest of the medical profession.

Now, to equal and surpass our adversaries, we need more participation than we have ever had. In these closing weeks, it is critical that everyone joins the fight.  Right now, your profession and your patients are depending on you. Please, make a contribution to the NCMS PAC today.

If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of making a contribution, join PAC members for an educational briefing on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm at the Grandover Resort, 1000 Club Road, Greensboro, NC. David O. Cook, MD, Chairman, NCMS PAC Board of Directors, and Matthew B. Martin, MD, Vice-Chairman, NCMS PAC Board of Directors, will speak with PAC donors about local elections, legislative issues, and PAC expenditures.

For more information about the NCMS PAC and the educational briefing, contact Will Barnett, NCMS Assistant Director, Legislative and Political Action, at [email protected] or 800-722-1350.
