NCMS President Addresses Greensboro Town Hall

NCMS President Dr. John Mangum opened the Physician Town Hall, which was held at the AHEC Center in Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. NCMS EVP, CEO Robert Seligson explained the purpose of the meeting–to get the NC General Assembly to override the Governor’s veto of Senate Bill 33.

NCMS Legislative Affairs Director Chip Baggett provided an overbiew of SB 33 and how it was was processed in the General Assembly. He then outlined the steps physicians can take to seek an override  of the Governor’s veto. About 60 physicians and health care professionals from the Triad area were present for the meeting.
