Former NCMS Executive Director George E. Moore, 76, passed away February 17, 2012 at Oak Hill Living Center in Angier, NC. A Franklin County native, Mr. Moore served as executive director from 1983-1993. He graduated from UNC-CH and served in the US Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Spivey Moore; daughter, Sharon Moore; son, Todd Elliot Moore; and four grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in Memory of George to the Community Home Care and Hospice, 400 East H Street, Erwin, NC 28339. Funeral services were held on Thursday.
