NCQA Releases PCMH Educational Video for Primary Care Practices

Last month, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) released an educational video to help primary care practices receive PCMH recognition. The video provides an overview of NCQA’s PCMH 2011 standards and processes necessary for implementing more patient-centered care.

The video, which is a collaboration with Merck, a global health care leader in innovative health solutions, is described by NCQA President Margaret E. O’Kane as an accessible introduction to patient-centered medical homes that shows primary care health care professionals how to earn PCMH recognition, why it is important, and how becoming a PCMH can improve value-driven care within the practice of medicine.

The video entitled, “Transitioning Your Practice to the Patient-Centered Medical Home,” is available on NCQA’s YouTube page.
