Over the weekend of July 7-10, the NC Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (NCSOHNS) held its 2011 Annual Meeting. In addition to three half-day CME sessions featuring clinical topics, the Society also addressed advocacy and health policy issues.

The Society elected the following slate of officers for 2011-2012:

President                      Robert Taylor, MD (Durham)

President-Elect            Craig  Buchman, MD (Chapel Hill)

Vice President              Cal Cunningham, MD (Raleigh)

Secretary-Treasurer    Carlton Zdanski, MD (Chapel Hill)

Catherine Rees Lintzenich, MD, was recognized for her service as 2010-2011 NCSOHNS President.
