North Carolina Immunization Program Changes Made

As of April 1, 2010, the North Carolina Immunization Program will incorporate the following changes:

  • The State will now only provide seasonal flu vaccine for VFC –eligible children 6 months through 18 years of age.   
  • TDAP vaccine will be provided on a universal basis by the State for children ages 10 through 18 years of age
  • Varicella vaccine (two doses) will also be provided on a universal basis
