Raleigh Chamber Hosts Health Care Policy Forum

What Does Health Care Reform Mean to Me?,” was the theme of  The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Health Care Policy Forum , which was held on Thursday. NCMS EVP, CEO Robert W. Seligson participated in a panel discussion on “What Does Health Care Mean to Each Industry?”  Other panelists included Dr. William Atkinson, President and CEO of WakeMed Health & Hospitals, and Maureen O’Connor, Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina.  Dana Simpson, a partner with Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, LLP, spoke on the theme, “How Did We Get Here?,” providing a chronological perspective on the development of the new health care system reform law. Gary Salamido, Director of State Government Affairs for GlaxoSmithKline, Inc., moderated the forum, which was broadcast on the Internet by WRAL-TV in Raleigh.
