In July, Sanofi Pasteur was licensed for Fluzone®, Fluzone® High-Dose vaccine, and Fluzone® Intradermal vaccine. They are the first flu vaccine manufacturers to receive licensure from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This year, the Fluzone® no longer contains latex, the package sizes for syringes are smaller, and peel-off chart labels are now available.

Sanofi Pasteur began distributing doses of Fluzone® in July to ensure that all physicians will have an ample supply to last through flu season. Sanofi Pasteur also is co-sponsoring the “Flu and You” campaign with the National Council on Aging (NCOA), which educates adults 65 years of age and older about the impact the flu can have on them.
