Sign Up Now for Palmetto GBA's Part A/B Fall Tour Workshops

Palmetto GBA is inviting all providers to attend a 2013 Part A/B Fall Tour Workshop as they discuss Medicare coverage and billing updates, as well as clinical and documentation information affecting the Medicare provider community. Each workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The 2013 Fall Tour is for all Part A/B provider specialties and is recommended for administrators, billers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals that submit claims to Medicare. It will provide insight for new, intermediate and advanced staff. However, they suggest that providers who are new to Medicare attend online learning courses for beginners.

Part A Coverage and Billing topics will include:

  • Claims Error Rate Testing (CERT)
  • RAC
  • Appeals
  • Provider Enrollment
  • Remittance Advice
  • ICD-9 vs. ICD-10
  • DRG Billing and Documentation
  • Important Palmetto GBA Tips and Reminders

Part B Coverage and Billing topics will include:

  • Incident To
  • Proper Billing of Drugs and Biological Information
  • Appeals
  • Commonly Used Modifiers
  • Online Provider Services (OPS)
  • National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) (common bundles, etc.)
  • Additional Documentation Request (ADR)/Medical Review (conducting self-audits)
  • Face-to-Face Requirements
  • Common Denials/Responses (CERT)
  • ICD-10 Updates
  • Important Palmetto GBA Tips and Reminders

The enrollment process with Palmetto GBA can be quicker and easier using Internet PECOS.

Palmetto GBA will have staff from their Provider Enrollment Department on hand in featured cities to demonstrate the ease of using PECOS. They will also be available to answer enrollment questions. Appointments are limited to 15-30 minutes per provider and are on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Appointments will run concurrently with the workshop session to maximize the value of your time. Providers must have their PECOS User ID and Password to participate.

If you do not currently have a PECOS User ID, but would like to participate, please visit this site and follow the instructions for ‘Become a Registered User.’

To reserve your seat or find out more about the workshops in your area, please make sure you:

  • Create a profile at the Event Registration Portal to create an account if you have not already done so
  • Log in to your Event Registration Portal account and you will be able to register yourself or other people for any workshops hosted by Palmetto GBA that are listed in the portal before registration closes

Note: Palmetto GBA is ‘Going Green’! Palmetto GBA will no longer be providing paper copies of workshop handouts for any of our face-to-face workshops. Electronic copies of all the meeting materials will be posted under the workshop link on the Palmetto GBA website prior to the event.
