The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) would like to congratulate Jeffrey Lawson, MD, and Philip Brown, Jr., MD, on recent achievements in the field of medicine.
Dr. Lawson, a vascular surgeon, and a team of physicians at Duke University Hospitals “performed the first U.S. implantation of a bioengineered blood vessel,” a new technology they hope “will eventually replace synthetic grafts.” Read the full article from The News & Observer here.
