The NCMS Seeks Applications for Clinical Quality Track and Leadership College

The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) has expanded its Leadership College with an educational track in clinical quality. The Clinical Quality Track is part of the Kanof Institute for Physician Leadership, a program of the North Carolina Medical Society Foundation (NCMSF).

While participation in both the Leadership College and the Kanof Institute for Physician Leadership provides physicians with valuable training, it is the opportunities for networking and connecting with one’s peers that round out the overall experience, as attested by former Leadership College graduates and current Kanof Institute co-chairs, Drs. Genie Komives and Philip Brown. Taking part in the Clinical Quality Track will be equally as beneficial, as will a future track in health care management.

The Clinical Quality Track will allow a team of up to 3 members, a physician and up to 2 additional team members, to participate in intensive clinical quality training that allows teams to contribute to excellence in health care quality within their practice setting.

The NCMS is currently seeking nominations for the Clinical Quality Track. Completed applications are due no later than July 8, 2013.

Applications are also currently being sought for the 2014 NCMS Leadership College, which provides both orientation and skill development to North Carolina’s future medical leaders.  Applications are due no later than July 15, 2013 and the forms can be found here.
