The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS), along with other state medical societies, has signed onto the Connecticut State Medical Society’s (CSMS) letter in support of the US House Bill 1827, “The Pediatric Subspecialty and Mental Health Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2013.”

HR 1827 extends the current loan repayment program for pediatric subspecialists and providers of child and adolescent mental and behavioral health working in Health Professional Shortage Areas, Medically Underserved Areas, or with Medically Underserved Populations.
