The Physicians Foundation Launches Physician Focused Blog on

The Physicians Foundation recently established an official blog page on Foundation CEO Tim Norbeck and President Louis Goodman, authors of the blog posts, promise the “physicians’ perspective on key U.S. health care issues.”

The blog, which launched on Oct. 8 as part of, will cover physician trends, and how changing regulatory and marketplace dynamics are affecting medical practices. Some of the topics examined thus far include rising health care costs, regulatory impacts on physician morale and patient care, and the ever increasing complexity of our health care system. The most recent post uncovers the economic realities of health reform and illustrates the challenges facing health care today.

North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) CEO Robert Seligson serves as the treasurer of The Physicians Foundation and the Foundation has given several generous grants to the Toward Accountable Care Consortium and Initiative, which is being spearheaded by the NCMS.
