U.S. Senate Passes Health System Reform Reconciliation Bill

Earlier today, the U.S. Senate passed H.R. 4872, the Health Care Education Affordability Reconciliation Act, a package of fixes to the new health reform law. The reconcilation bill passed the Senate by a vote of 56 to 43. The bill will now goes back to the House for a second vote after Senate Republicans succeeded in making minor changes related to the Federal Pell Grant portions of the bill. The House plans to vote on this package later today.
