White Coat Wednesday Off and Running for 2011

Physicians and Medical Group Managers from around the state came to Raleigh this week to commence the first White Coat Wednesday of the 2011 Legislative Session. With Senate Bill 33 – Medical Liability Reforms currently in the Senate Judiciary I committee, White Coat participants worked hard combing the halls of the legislative buildings seeking out J1 committee members in order to encourage their support of the bill when it comes to a vote. They also spent time meeting with their local members of the General Assembly to talk about the importance of Medical Liability reform and the need for comprehensive reform here in North Carolina.

White Coat Wednesdays will be taking place every Wednesday during the long session this year, and we need as many physicians as possible to pack the halls of the General Assembly to speak on critical issues such as Tort Reform and Medicaid reimbursement rates. Please contact Jaime King, Assistant Director of Legislative and Political Action at (919) 833-3836  and [email protected] to reserve your Wednesday this year!
