Physicians from across the state gathered in Raleigh this week for White Coat Wednesday to speak to their legislators about the pending budget.

Paying special attention to the issue of reversing the 2009 Medicaid rate reduction, members of the NC Orthopaedic Association (NCOA) and the NC Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons met with their local legislators to provide them with first-hand experience on how they have been affected by cuts to Medicaid over the past few years.

Doctors from the NCOA also spoke to their representatives about the Physical Therapist Practice Act legislation, and brought along Physical Therapists from their practice to join in the conversation.

More dates are still available to sign-up to attend an upcoming White Coat Wednesday this session.
