Wilmington Health Hotline Needs More Physician Volunteers

So far, 22 physicians have volunteered for the 2011 WWAY-TV Health Hotline, to be held on Tuesday, January 25 at Independence Mall in Wilmington.  More physicians are needed to handle the expected large volume of calls, usually between 550 and 750 calls per year.  The more physicians who can participate, the more calls we can answer during the program, which runs from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

The Health Hotline allows viewers to talk with physicians at no charge, helping to promote access for people living in the Greater Wilmington area.  It is open to all physicians and co-sponsored by WWAY-TV, the New Hanover-Pender County Medical Society (NHPCMS) and the NCMS.
